Industry standard is fine. Mostly, we need to know what genre/category, page/word count and whether or not the manuscript has been edited.
What Do You Look For In A Submission?
Solid writing ability. It's okay if editing is needed, we can work with authors to produce a polished final draft.
What Advice Do You Have For First-time Submitters?
Edit as much as possible before submitting. It helps if authors have done some market research and are sure of which category and sub-categories best match their work.
Do You Have A Favorite Unsolicited Submission Discovery Or Anecdote?
I've had the fortune of receiving quite a few very good unsolicited submissions. They include a Whole Foods, Plant-Based Cookbook and a legal thriller series.
Who Is Your Ideal Reader?
We publish all genres including poetry collections and children's books. For this reason we have a wide reader base.
