Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
Eclipse Lit of CultureTrust Greater Philadelphia is a non-profit literary magazine, we publish work by underrepresented voices and by people who are struggling with trauma and depression. Our mission is to give an outlet for writers to heal through art while supporting organizations dedicated to helping people with trauma. How do we do this? We donate funds raised from our magazines to different organizations that focus on mental health and trauma. We use our magazine as an open and safe space for artists. We accept submissions from all voices without discrimination. We use themed issues to cover difficult topics such as depression, abuse, and suicide. We encourage artists to create work that will inspire healing, while also giving them a voice and access to community. Lastly, we work with organizations and businesses through fundraising efforts to increase awareness about mental health and healing. We inspire to create community involvement and distribution of our magazines to serve as a catalyst for change, building a safe space for different voices to share their narratives while also recognizing the universal stories we tell through experience and healing.
