At Emerald City Ghosts, not all of our stories take place in the Pacific Northwest—but we do have a special place in our hearts for the rain, the gloom, and the way that the dew on the evergreens sparkles in the pale morning sun. We love the cold slime of the banana slugs oozing along the forest floor. We love the way that every house on the coast feels haunted by shifting sea mist and creaking floorboards and the wind whistling through cracks in windows. We love our inky woods with blackberry brambles so thick we can’t see beyond the first few feet of forest.
