Feathered Serpent Books is a traditional first small press that focuses on lifting up the voices of Baltimore's writing community. We champion BIPOC and LGBTQ+ authors but will go to bat for anyone who has a story to tell. For authors who may want to retain more creative control and/or a higher royalty structure, the press also offers its printing, editorial, and formatting services on a hybrid scale. We want to make sure that we offer the most flexibility and care with any project we agree to work on.
