Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
Founded in 2018 by poet, Whitney Koo (Kerutis), Gasher Press is a 501(c)(3) literary small press and journal publication committed to serving the literary community by the means of providing opportunities in publishing, editing, and scholarship. We want art that guts us with surgical precision.
Make everything useful. Gasher sponsors an annual reading internship for emerging writers over the age of 18 interested in editing careers, as well as the annually offered First-Book Scholarship that provides monetary funds to an author submitting their first-book manuscript to small press contests and open reading periods.
