Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
Impossible Press is a DIY publishing, curating, and writing platform founded by Neil Daigle Orians in 2019. Focusing on art and stories that go uncovered by larger arts media outlets, Impossible Press attempts to bring critical awareness to artists and cultural workers who lack such attention. Publishing projects focus on emerging artists and authors, especially those from underrepresented identities.

Do You Have Any Cover Letter Advice?
Just be yourself!
What Do You Look For In A Submission?
First and foremost, an understanding and appreciation of zine/DIY culture. We are not a typical publishing house with resources or means to do what we want to do (yet!) We are carving a space and want to work with others who have the same passion.
What Advice Do You Have For First-time Submitters?
Again, just be yourself, but also if you're looking to make money, you might want to look elsewhere. We publish out of passion and love, and while we pay artists at least 80% royalties, we didn't start this press to fill our pockets.
Do You Have A Favorite Unsolicited Submission Discovery Or Anecdote?
Not yet, but we are looking forward to some of the wackiness that will ensue.
Who Is Your Ideal Reader?
Someone curious; eager to learn something new; unafraid of unconventional narratives, stories, or images; who can empathize as to why someone would even dare to found a nonprofit publishing company during a pandemic
