Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
An Inglenook is a place to gather and reflect by the fire, to imagine, tell stories, and share ideas. Inglenook Lit is a space for wonder, joy, and tolerance created to fill a gap in the publishing industry for speculative prose. We publish fiction and nonfiction that's experimental, mystical, witchy, mythological, or magical. As a bridge between literature and the occult, Inglenook reflects on mysticism and magic in the modern day, reviews and recommends books and short stories, and seeks to inspire a more enchanting conception of reality. While the magazine is online, we will publish print anthologies and books in the near future.
