Submissions Policy
All Inlandia publications fall within the purview of Inlandia's Publications Committee. All manuscripts submissions are first reviewed by Inlandia's publications coordinator. Inlandia Books general as well as Gravendyk and Martinez prize submissions are all checked for identifying information as these categories are read blind. Prize submissions are screened by university-based MFA candidates before a finalist pool is sent off to the judge. Judges are selected for their prominence in the field and availability. Inlandia Books general submissions are reviewed by volunteers on the manuscript reading sub-committee. Books recommended for publication are submitted to Inlandia's board of directors for approval and if approved a standard book contract including royalties, author copies, distribution, and full layout and design services are provided to the author. Copyright of the material always belongs to the author.
