Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
KIN + DIGNITY® Magazine is an independent, regional publication created in 2019, with the divine vision to provide a space and voice for small town Black Southerners, and Southerners at heart, who live, work and play on the outskirts of major Southern cities. Our hope is to instill a sense of pride and dignity among this highly underrepresented demographic by preserving small-town Southern Black culture in print. Our mission is to shed light on the untold impact of Black culture and literature in small towns, suburbs, and rural communities in the South, where the culture is highly overlooked, forgotten, and often dismissed.
