Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
Local Honey Midwest (LHM) is a potluck for the creative spirit. Curated for the sweeter works of midwest poets, painters, writers, musicians, videographers, cartoonists, photographers, designer, LHM is based on the following principles: We are all nourished and inspired by the creativity of others; we are all capable of creating work that is life affirming and worth sharing; there will never be too many violets in the world.

Submissions Policy
At the moment, LHM is working to establish sustainable submission management, so we're soliciting submissions and accepting from those who have reached out to express interest. The intention is to use Submittable to receive and manage submissions. Once a submission management platform is in place: LHM seeks a variety of mediums that represent the sweeter and honest efforts by creatives with connections to the midwest. Unsolicited submissions are encouraged--and are, in so many ways, the point of what we're trying to build.
