Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
MISSION AND VISION
The mission of Middle Creek Press is to bridge the gap between nature and humanity through the literature of human ecology. We aim to create an ever-growing and expansive literary ecosystem that fosters connection between readers, authors, and the world around us—an inclusive community that also celebrates and honors our other-than-human kin. Our vision is to nurture the literary arts as a means of environmental literacy, personal growth, and community connection. We believe that literature and poetry can help people rediscover their relationships with the natural and built environments and with one another—relationships essential to individual and societal well-being.
