What if you could watch your favorite poet write? Midst’s mission is to capture, share, and explore the writing process. Our online publishing platform displays poems and other texts in the form of interactive time-lapses that show readers exactly how each document was written, blank page to final draft.

Submissions Policy
Midst currently commissions all work from writers either directly solicited or solicited through literary organizations we're excited about, including culture-specific groups (e.g. Cave Canem, Kundiman, Canto Mundo) and poetry publishers (e.g. Copper Canyon, Wave Books, Ugly Duckling Presse). Our curatorial focus is on diversity, inclusivity, and multiplicity. We also accept public nominations for writers to commission—including self-nominations—and we hope to open to unsolicited public submissions as soon as we're able to do so. Currently, the "submission process" for interested writers is to nominate themselves, at which point we get in touch and provide them with the beta software.
