In Latin, "Novus" means "new," "fresh," "extraordinary," "unheard," "revived... Novus seeks work that embodies the spirit of these words -- this is interpreted broadly, but we seek writing that exudes a fresh and innovative approach or voice. We focus on pieces that move us through a unique use of language and are especially drawn to material that exhibits new and modern perspectives on life and the environment around us. We also love a traditional story well told and wit a compelling voice. We accept poetry, creative non-fiction, fiction, plays, and art submissions.

Poetry: we accept up to five poems, all in one Word Document.
Creative Non-Fiction and Fiction: we accept up to 3000 words, with some flexibility in our digital editions.
Plays: up to 3000 words
Artwork and Photography: We accept high-resolution photos of artwork.
We accept only original, unpublished work.
We accept work via email at [email protected], however, we are purchasing a subscription to Submittable for the near future.
