Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
Each issue of the print journal brings together poems, portfolios, and prose representing a rich diversity of countries and languages. Our aim is to seek out poetry written originally in English as well as poetry in translation that is strong and compelling and that highlights our shared humanity while inviting us into the diverse realities of people across the globe. Whenever possible we publish poetry in the original language alongside the English translation.

Submissions Policy
Most submissions are solicited via our Editor-in-Chief. We seek out unsolicited work, and seek to develop long-term relationships with authors whose work is selected, through four competitions each year. Two competitions recognize and result in the publication of individual poems--the Poetry International Prize and the C.P. Cavafy Prize, and offer $1000 prize. The other two competitions recognize and result in the publication of chapbooks, which we publish as portfolios in our print journal.
