Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
The Poetry Society of Vermont (PSOV) has published its literary journal called The Mountain Troubadour since 1949. It began as a four-page newsletter and later became a poetry journal in 1956. PSOV is a community of poets and friends of poetry, open to anyone whether or not they reside in Vermont. We offer workshops, readings, and contests. Through the outside adjudication of poems for our Summer Awards, the internal curating of submissions through a six-member Editorial Board, and two member-chosen contests, we create an annual publication that embraces a diversity of poets and poetry to create The Mountain Troubadour.
