Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
The Poetry Society of Vermont fosters a poetic environment where the love of poetry honors the past and encourages creative partnerships. We annually edit and publish locally The Mountain Troubadour, which features poems from members. The poems are solicited through several open to member submission calls throughout the year, which include contests and open submissions. The submissions are evaluated by both outside professional poets, an Editorial Board, and a couple of contests that call on the membership to evaluate and vote on the poems. All the selected poems, and award winners are then published in The Mountain Troubadour.
