What Is The Staff Structure At Your Magazine/press?
Thus far this is two person operation. As our magazine grows we look to add a couple of beta readers.
How Are Submissions Processed In Your Magazine/press?
We read every submission at least twice, then twice more if it is being considered for publication. Together, we go over what we like or don't like and sometimes after much debate we reach a consensus in a few weeks.
What Do You Look For In A Submission?
For short stories we look for original, well crafted tales with strong characterization. For poetry we’re looking for poems that run the gamut from the from the fantastical to the historical. We always looking for that 'wow!' factor.
What Advice Do You Have For First-time Submitters?
Pay close attention to the guidelines.
Who Is Your Ideal Reader?
Anyone who likes stories or poems that don't fit the usually defined paramters. We’re looking for captivating prose that grabs the reader from the first paragraph to the last and intriguing poems that do the heavy lifting of drawing the reader in.
