Submissions Policy
At present, only work by Oregon poets will be accepted for the initial project of Red Shoe Press, the Oregon Poetry Calendar. Up to 3 short poems of up to 25 lines are accepted for the calendar, with the exclusion of haiku or other short forms and rhyme. Acceptable file types are .doc or .docx only. Submissions will be read blind to ensure impartiality, so work should not include the poet’s name or any identifying information on the individual poems or in the document file name. No previously published poems will be accepted. Simultaneous submissions are welcome, as long as submitters withdraw via Submittable any poem accepted elsewhere. A short bio of up to 50 words should be included with the submission.
