We are looking for literary fiction and poetry. We are especially interested in writing about the desert and the southwest, but are open to all subject matter. We also love experimental works. We publish an issue four times a year and pay $30 to each selected piece.

Submissions Policy
Submission Guidelines Saguaro Review accepts only previously unpublished work and is delighted to review simultaneous submissions. However, we ask that you immediately notify us should your work be accepted elsewhere. We publish online FOUR times per year, on:

September 1 Poetry and Fiction Submissions are open all year long.
Fee: $3.50
Please submit your work via our submission manager. Submissions sent via e-mail will not be accepted.
We receive an incredibly large number of submissions. Our submission guidelines are set up to help aid our editorial process. Additionally, we charge a reading fee of $3.50 for general submissions to help keep Saguaro Review operational and to be fully accessible to our readers. Please follow the instructions below to enter your submission or your manuscript will be automatically withdrawn: For poetry and fiction, please use .pdf, .doc or .docx file formats. Submissions in other formats will not be accepted. Submit up to 3,000 words of prose or 3 poems per reading period. Please do not exceed the submission limits. For poems, submit up to 3 poems in a single document with each poem starting on a new page. If you have multiple short pieces for prose, please include them in one document with the word count for each piece at the top of the respective piece's opening page. Visual Art Submissions are open all year long. Saguaro Review is seeking visual art. We accept illustrations, paintings, and photography. We are looking for great cover art (and supplemental work) that will be featured as the look of the issue.
