Shadow and Sax Press is building a house for the ignored — a home for honest art and literature. Founded in 2025, Shadow and Sax began as an online stream of writing and art and has since grown into a small press publishing two print magazines annually, two poetry journals, and a series of poetry chapbooks. Shadow and Sax Press is an independent literary and arts publisher dedicated to work grounded in honesty, lived experience, and voices often overlooked in traditional literary spaces. Our mission is to create a space where raw, vulnerable, and unvarnished work can be seen, supported, and remembered.
