Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
Silent River is an independent literary and media arts initiative established in 2010 with a mission to discover, support, and celebrate voices in world literature and media arts. It serves as a platform fostering creative expression and expanding access to publication and recognition across diverse cultural and linguistic communities. Through its imprints—River Paw Press and Life and Legends magazine—Silent River publishes poetry collections, presents literary work in translation, and curates global literary dialogue. Books published by River Paw Press have received international recognition, including finalist distinctions at the International Book Awards and the Indie Excellence Awards, as well as the Hryhorii Kochur Award conferred by the State of Ukraine. The organization also administers annual literary awards and is developing the forthcoming Silent River International Award, honoring published works in poetry and translation while supporting an inclusive and evolving literary ecosystem.
