Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
Our mission is to provide a collaborative and engaging space for teens to write, be published, and get paid. Since our first publication in 2020 during a global pandemic, our editorial focus has been devoted to publishing the literary prose, poetry, and artwork of high school-age teens in their purest form. Teens are real-time historians so we have an obligation to validate their perspectives as the documentarists of our time in real-time. We publish Quarterly Lit Zine for literary fiction submissions and Ctrl+Z Teens for nonfiction journalism pieces centered on each issue’s theme. We offer a platform for teen writers to explore any form of expression they choose, providing a space where young voices can be heard.
