Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
The Chaffin Journal is a relaunch of a small print journal established at Eastern Kentucky University in the 1980s, as the result of a small endowment left by a former English professor. Circulation peaked at approximately 100, contributors were primarily from Kentucky, and most of the few submissions were accepted for publication. With the relaunch, I am determined to increase submissions and circulation with the hope of attracting a greater diversity of writers and establishing a reputation for high literary quality.
