Our mission statement is threefold: 1) to serve the Microfiction Community with a quality platform for publishing work and engaging with others*, 2) to increase readership by providing those with lessened attention spans (propagated by social media) with attention-getting stories of 50 and 100 words, and 3) to enrich arts exposure / encourage beginning writers with a more immediate sense of accomplishment by focusing on brief compositions, rather than more lengthy, traditional manuscripts. * TDDR has been recognized as a Webby Award Honoree for Best Cultural Website; it submits author work to Best Microfiction, Best of the Net, and Best Small Fictions--of which contributing authors have been recognized, with appreciation, often.
