Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
The First Pages Prize is a 501c3 non-profit literary organization. We support emerging writers worldwide through an annual prize and year-round inspiration. We'd like to become members of CLMP because adhering to ethical entry and judging practices is very important to us, and we want to learn from CLMP further best practices as a literary organization supporting writers. We haven't as yet created a magazine or digital press, but this year are interested in creating an e-book of our short- and long-listed writers' entries. Our prize is for the first five pages of a longer work of fiction or creative nonfiction. We would make this e-book available through our website for free for subscribers to our mailing list or available to buy for a dollar or two.
