Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
Since 1974, we have published poetry, and occasionally fiction and memoir, primarily from third- and fourth-generation New York School poets. We are a nonprofit, funded out–of–pocket. (Our pub list at SPD looks pretty long, but it’s been 45 years. In the last few years, we have not been able to produce any books. We are now hoping to begin a new imprint with a new focus: more on this below.)
