Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
The Letter Review believes in the power of literature, and the importance and magic of new writing. We are a proud member of the CLMP. Each year we provide over $30,000 USD in unrestricted cash awards to writers and artists. We strive to connect readers with excellent new writing. Our mission as a literary magazine is to publish new work, foster a supportive creative community, and help writers and artists with all matters related to being published, performed, and produced. At least 90% of the work we publish comes to us unsolicited, and submitted directly by the writer. We mark entries blindly to ensure fairness for all writers. We adhere to the CLMP Contest Code of Ethics. The Letter Review features interviews with professional writers, publishes helpful information, runs competitions with monetary prizes, and remains open to unsolicited submissions of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. The Letter Review will always pay writers professional rates, and seek submissions from writers who live anywhere in the world.
