Primary Editor/Contact Person
We put out a call for submissions on our social media channels and invite people to email their work to us. After our submissions close, all of the submitted work is compiled into two different folders: Visuals and Written. All names/any sort of identity is removed from files, so all pieces are judged anonymously. Our editorial team spends a few weeks with the work before we all get together to discuss. We then have a long meeting where we agree, argue, discuss, and debate which pieces we believe should make the final cut. Once we make our final decisions, we send out acceptance and rejection emails, and our designer gets to work on putting the issue together. Compiling the submissions into the two categories is tedious and one person in the team will have access to the artist/writers' names. We want to make things a little easier on us, as well as more organized, and ensure our submission process is truly anonymous.
