Discovering short fiction is often difficult. Most literary magazines publish on independent websites with slim margins, frequently trapping their fiction behind paywalls. This lack of discoverability makes it difficult for short fiction readers to find, or afford to read, excellent fiction. Tir is designed to help bridge this gap. While we host text versions of our stories, we also publish them weekly on all major podcast platforms. Millions of people listen to audiobooks and fiction podcasts daily. Bringing our literature magazine to the podcasting world allows us to meet readers where they already are -- both established fans and new readers. The audio and text versions of Tir will remain free forever. We believe strongly that final status should never inhibit people’s access to art. Further, Tir aims to be 100% ADA compliant, always.
