Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
We are, above all else, a study in preservation. As kids, we were taught that writing had to be contained— it took many years and frustrations to come to terms with the messiness of pure, desperate creation. Trace Fossils Review was started with the mission to collect this mess, to publish work that identifies the creator as intimately as their own handprint— the art in wake of the artist.

Submissions Policy
We accept previously unpublished work and pride ourselves on publishing upcoming artists. First Serial Rights for six months apply to all pieces, with the reserved right to archive and/or republish said work. We hold four submission periods for five categories (prose, poetry, nonfiction, art/multimedia, hybrid). Simultaneous submissions are welcome, and we do NOT charge for basic submissions. We are not a paying market, but the moment we are fit and able, we plan to be. We have a no tolerance policy to any works that preach prejudice and bigotry of the like.
