Do You Have Any Cover Letter Advice?
Do address Editors by name, either Leon Perniciaro or Tristan Evarts. Do list relevant information and relevant well known publications. Do not list every publication you've ever had. I don't actually care.
What Do You Look For In A Submission?
We publish stories that transport us to another world, a bright future, that once we enter we never want to leave even if we had the opportunity. We look for -Captivating world-building -Diverse Characters -well-written plots, not tropes
What Advice Do You Have For First-time Submitters?
Make sure your story fits with Utopia. We look for upbeat, optimistic stories. Read a free sammple or better- purchase an entire issue to get an idea. If your story ends with a severed head or takes place in an apocalyptic landscape. It's not for us.
Who Is Your Ideal Reader?
Intelligent, perhaps nostalgic for the kinds of stories you might have seen in Galaxy or Amazing Stories. They have as much interest in science trivia as they do in good stories and they've had enough dystopia. They want positive, optimistic stories.
