Waterways: Poetry in the Mainstream is a small press poetry magazine that began in 1979 as a document of waterfront poetry readings by a cohort of 25 NYS poetry presses. Since 1981 it has been designed, edited, printed in house and distributed 11 times a year by Richard Spiegel and Barbara Fisher of Ten Penny Players. Themes and archival issues are posted at tenpennyplayers.org .

The Co-editors read and respond to submissions - or not if a SSAE isn't included. e-mail submissions are read and responded to when a valid e-mail address is included.

Look at the themes, the sample issues and send a SSAE or e mail address. No flowery compliments about how much you love our work...and please no full length books, X-Rated, political or religious material.
