Submissions Policy
We are currently closed to submissions at the moment, but will be opening September 1st. For the press, we ask that writers submit "completed" manuscripts (1 at a time). We tend to favor fiction / short fiction with a literary bent, but we're open to anything that excites us. Whether genre, hybrid, chapbook, or something we've never seen before. For the revue, we are seeking writing that explores 'the west' in new and unexpected ways. Work that plays with form ,and explores ideas of "the west" as an idea, as a construct, beyond the classic cowboy stories (though we love many of those too). We're most excited by work that deconstructs and repurposes the preconceived notions of western writing, and have mined and twisted its themes, tropes, and ideological concerns, to unearth a vibrant new vision. One submission at a time. 7k or less for fiction / non-fiction. Up to 5 poems for poetry. Up to 10 photos / visual pieces for visual art.
