ART SICK is an online poetry publication from The Poetry Lab, made for voices that refuse to go silent. We are living in a time that resists clarity, where the language around us often fails to hold the reality of blockade, peace talk, concert, sandwich shop. Still, people are writing. Not because it is easy, but because they have to.
We are a home for that necessity.
We publish poems that come from constraint, from lived experience, from joy, grief, rage, devotion, and the pressure of the ineffable. Whether you are fed up with the establishment or madly in love with the word, ART SICK is for you.
Submissions are open July 10 through September 30.
Writers may submit up to five previously unpublished poems (10 pages maximum) in a single PDF or DOCX file through Submittable. Simultaneous submissions are welcome. A $3 submission fee applies.
