Our goal is to help people of different faiths, even non-traditional ones, learn about each other to encourage tolerance and peace. Tiferet is a Hebrew word that means "heart, compassion, and reconciliation of opposites" -- vital concepts to understand in today's often divisive world.
We are a non-sectarian, non-dogmatic community that publishes high-quality poetry, prose, and art that further meaningful dialogue about what it is to be humane and conscious. We publish a magazine four times a year (3 digital issues and 1 print) and offer periodic writing retreats, an annual poem-a-thon, and an annual writing contest.
Is your group affiliated with a University, portal or other agency?
We accept submissions of poetry, fiction, non-fiction and art electronically through our website. Our regular submission period runs September 1 to January 1 each year. We also offer an annual writing contest until June 1. Our author contract grants us First North American Serial Rights in print and digital format. In exchange, the author receives one copy of the issue as payment. We also retain the right to post the work on our web site after print publication and in digital format on our web and other e-publication venues. After publication, all rights (except those stated above) revert to the Author/Artist. The Author/Artist agrees that we will receive suitable credit upon exercise of any of the rights retained by the author to the material. (See website for details)
