Burrow Press is a nonprofit, independent publisher based in Orlando, FL committed to publishing the best contemporary literature by new and established authors, as well as fostering literary community in Orlando, and working to make Florida a literary hub.
BP Books publishes novels, short story collections, memoirs, and anthologies that have been reviewed nationally in venues such as Publishers Weekly, Booklist, Kirkus, Tampa Bay Times, The Miami Herald, and SF Chronicle. BP books have been endorsed by author and Pulitzer-finalist Karen Russell, cult film director Terry Gilliam, and many other acclaimed artists. BP books have been recognized nationally, as well as internationally, winning an Independent Publishers Award, and making the shortlist (twice) for the Firecracker Award, and the long-list for the Frank O’ Connor International Short Story Award in 2014.
BP Review is a weekly online literary journal that highlights one piece of new fiction, nonfiction, or poetry each week. BPR has twice been recognized by Best of the Net and has been anthologized in Best American Poetry. BPR will merge with our new online project, Fantastic Floridas, at the end of the year. Fantastic Floridas explores the intersection between Florida, literature, books, and the uncategorizable–all while highlighting Florida writers, presses, lit mags and literary organizations.
Functionally Literate: a literary function is our free quarterly reading series that pairs writers from all over the world with the best writers in Central Florida. The series has brought authors such as NYT-bestselling Jeff VanderMeer, award-winning Portuguese novelist Jacinto Lucas Pires, and the great Southern writer Padgett Powell.

We read year-round for our online journal and have the typical lit mag guidelines. For our print books we solicit and annually invite those who have contributed to the online journal to submit manuscripts.
